Song of the day - 04/05

After being dismissed from Pink Floyd in 1968, Syd Barrett continued descending into madness and seclusion. His friends and former bandmates David Gilmour and Richard Wright tried to help bring out his talent, scheduling several sessions when time allowed. Though the sessions were productive enough to make two albums, they were often long and stressful due to Syd's behavior becoming ever more erratic than before. Still, the two albums released in 1970 - 'The Madcap Laughs' and 'Barrett' - have influenced musicians for many many years.
