Now we move to 1970, a pivotal year in music. We start, ironically enough, with an ending. The Beatles released 'Let It Be', their final album of new material, clearing the way for all the bands that came after them. My song choice is on the few songs Phil Spector didn't ruin with his orchestral treatments.

Today will mark the start of my 'Anniversary' series of songs. 2010 marks the anniversary of the release of some of the most influential albums from some of the biggest and popular names in music. I may not post the most popular song from these albums, but part of the fun is sharing a real gem from these albums.

It is appropriate that we start with The Beatles. They have two albums that are celebrating their 45th anniversary of release. (Feel old yet, guys?!) The first is the 'Help!' album and the song is my favourite.
