After the disaster of a first album, Genesis were able to showcase their music ideas on the album 'Trespass'. Released in October 1970, the album has grown to become a critical success and is appreciated by fans of the band's early work. It is also the only album to feature drummer John Mayhew and guitarist Anthony Phillips. Phil Collins and Steve Hackett joined the group in 1971.
